Om is the primordial sound of the Universe and one of the most important spiritual symbols. It is defined by Hindu scripture as being the sound of creation. It is the original vibration of the Universe and refers to the ultimate reality and truth, to the divine cos- mic principles and knowledge. The mantra Om purifies our mind and soul and takes our incarnated being closer to its enlightened self. I chant Om at the end of my meditation practice and feel a bright yellow colour in my mind’s eye. POA
